Dem Insiders Secretly Panicking About Trump’s Guantanamo Bay Orders: ‘Not Just for Illegals’

President Donald Trump’s recent directive to repurpose Guantánamo Bay as a detention center for up to 30,000 undocumented immigrants has ignited significant concern among Democratic insiders.

While the administration emphasizes targeting individuals with criminal records, many Democrats fear the scope could broaden and include those who have allowed millions of illegal aliens to enter the U.S.

Similarly, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib emphasized the dehumanizing nature of the plan, advocating for the closure of Guantánamo Bay to prevent such normalization of inhumane practices.

A recent executive order targeting “Gender Ideology Extremism” and efforts to combat antisemitism by potentially deporting pro-Palestinian activists have heightened fears that the administration may use Guantánamo Bay to detain individuals beyond undocumented immigrants.
