The three letter agencies of America have decided that so-called “far-right terrorism” is a much bigger problem than any other terrorist threats outside of American soil, with the Department of Defense holding staff event meeting event to discuss the issue.
For context, the Defense Department defines terrorism as the “unlawful use of violence or threat of violence to instill fear and coerce governments and societies.”
So, instead of worrying about the millions of unchecked illegal immigrants pouring across the Southern border, the U.S. government has focused on what they term “homegrown” terrorism. In other words, any American who supports ‘Making America Great Again’ and the re-election of Donald Trump is a “terrorist.”
The timing is convenient. It’s an election year; Joe Biden is majorly suffering in the polls, and Trump is way ahead, even sweeping up the black vote in various states, and there are rumors the Democrats are about to parachute Michelle Obama in to “save the day.”
So what does the Biden government do?
They launch a new “brown bag events” series featuring both internal and guest speakers on the threat of “far-right terrorism.”
Among those invited by the Pentagon were Bruce Hoffman, a professor at Georgetown University and senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, and Jacob Ware, a research fellow at the CFR, the Daily Caller reported.
Hoffman and Ware have one thing in common: they have a new book out titled, “God, Guns, and Sedition: Far-Right Terrorism in America.”
The Pentagon invitation read as follows:
“Reminder to please join us at 1200 tomorrow morning via Teams (link below) for this virtual brown bag book talk event — renowned terrorism scholars Dr. Bruce Hoffman and Jacob Ware.”
“This is the first of what we hope will be a series of brown bag events featuring internal and external speakers,” it continued.
“This talk, derived from the speakers’ new book, God, Guns, and Sedition (Columbia Univ. Press), discusses the rise of far-right terrorism in the United States, the impact of U.S. domestic terrorism on our foreign policy and our allies, and policy recommendations to counter far-right terrorism.”
The invitation also included a link to the book and the authors’ biographies.
The CFR also includes a description of the book on its website, stating:
“Shocking acts of terrorism have erupted from violent American far-right extremists in recent years, including the 2015 mass murder at a historic Black church in Charleston and the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. These incidents, however, are neither novel nor unprecedented. They are the latest flashpoints in a process that has been unfolding for decades, in which vast conspiracy theories and radical ideologies such as white supremacism, racism, antisemitism, xenophobia, and hostility to government converge into a deadly threat to democracy.”
The book purports to account for the “rise of far-right terrorism in the United States — and how to counter it.”
The title of the book should say it all. The Democrats may as well admit they no longer have anything to campaign on other than pathetic smear attempts on their political opponents.
According to the book’s author, Hoffman:
“One of the challenges we had in researching the book is we’re talking about a vast movement with many different constituent parts, not a hierarchical single organization, and that’s been part of the movement’s strength is that it is consistently over decades, one could argue over a century and a half, has sought to appeal to an increasingly diverse constituency. You have the Ku Klux Klan types, racists, anti-Semites, xenophobes, anti-LGBTQ, and so on.”
“We’re talking about people that are militantly opposed to paying federal income tax, that militant zealous adherence to the Second Amendment, that believe that there is an ongoing attempt by the federal government to seize their arms. So a diverse array of people, conspiracy theorists, militant, anti-globalists, and so on that come together to comprise this movement.”
It’s clear that government agencies and scholars have decided that far-right movements are a much more significant threat than those of the far-left, i.e., Antifa and Black Lives Matter, who literally burnt American cities to the ground throughout 2020.
Cynthia Miller-Idriss, who runs the Polarization and Extremism Research and Innovation Lab at American University, noted how the government had shifted away from the Islamist terrorist threat.
“It used to be far-left terrorism, then for a while, the biggest threats were Islamist and international forms of terrorism,” Miller-Idriss said, the Military Times reported.
“Now, the official government assessment, universally, is that anti-government and supremacist forms of extremism are the biggest threat and the most lethal and pressing threat to the homeland.”
While it’s unclear who approved the book event, we can only imagine it was officials within the Biden administration desperately looking for ways to distract the American public away from the real issue at hand – a wide open border.
