Former Texas Representative Ron Paul recently told Tucker Carlson that the public must prepare for an unprecedented “Black Swan” event this year.
While discussing current political events on the Tucker Carlson Show, Paul reminded the former Fox News host how he predicted the conflict in Ukraine in 2014.
However, Paul said something much bigger is coming, a significant event that would catch the world off guard and plunge society in chaos.
“I think we’re reaching this point where some sudden thing is going to happen,” Paul began.
“I believe in that theory of the black swan. Yes, it’s going to pop up, and it’s not going to be controllable,” Paul said.
The former Representative also emphasized the importance of education in understanding the coming challenges.
“But people you ask, what can they do? I think the most important thing is understanding what’s going on, which is education,” Paul continued.
“That’s why I happen to have a homeschooling program. And I try to teach this stuff early because you can’t change it. You can’t just demand, for example, $50 an hour,” he added.
“That’s not how it works… You have to know what actions to take. One is to protect your money. Another is to protect your wealth,” Paul said.
The former Congressman also warned that people need to grasp the underlying causes that lead to economic shifts and societal breakdown.
“It’s very, very dangerous,” he warned.

Paul isn’t the only one who has been warning of a “Black Swan” event.
Last year, Catherine Herridge predicted on CBS that a major national security crisis with an unpredictable high impact on the globe would occur.
The term “black swan event,” popularized by Nassim Nicholas Taleb in his 2007 book ‘The Black Swan,’ describes an unpredictable or unforeseen occurrence.
During the show, Herridge said, “I feel a lot of concern that 2024 may be the year of a black swan event. This national security event with high impact is very hard to predict.”
She highlighted a number of factors contributing to her prediction, adding, “There are several concerns- concerns, I have that factor into that. Not only this sort of enduring, heightened threat level that we’re facing, the wars in Israel, also Ukraine.”
She also emphasized how the U.S has become divided, which gives adversaries like North Korea, China, and Iran an opportunity to attack.
“And we’re so divided in this country in ways that we haven’t seen before. And I think that just creates fertile ground for our adversaries like North Korea, China, and Iran. And that’s what concerns me most,” she added.
