Hundreds of deadly virus samples have suddenly gone “missing” from a lab in Australia in what is being reported as a major biosecurity breach.
The news comes just weeks after billionaire Bill Gates predicted another “pandemic” before Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.
Twenty-three vials of live viruses have now disappeared, Queensland Health Minister Tim Nicholls confirmed.
The missing vials include:
100 vials of Hendra virus
2 vials of Hantavirus
223 vials of Lyssavirus
All of the above are extremely deadly for humans.
Queensland authorities are now warning that the vials could be weaponized and even admitting the theft is “not something an amateur does,” leading to suggestions that it is part of a more sophisticated operation.
Queensland Chief Health Officer John Gerrard said:
“It’s this part of the transfer of those materials that is causing concern.”
“They were transferred to a functioning freezer without the appropriate paperwork being completed. The materials may have been removed from that secure storage and lost, or otherwise unaccounted-for.”
The Hendra virus primarily infects horses but can jump to humans with a 57 per cent mortality rate.
The virus’ natural hosts are fruitbats from which the infection jumped into horses and then humans, according to the WHO.

The Hantavirus originates in rats and is spread through their droppings, urine, and saliva. It can also infect humans, leading to fever, chills, nausea, diarrhoea, and fluid buildup in the lungs.
Meanwhile, Lyssavirus is a form of rabies that can infect humans and other mammals.
Once symptoms arise, there is s no known cure and it is almost always fatal.
Gerrard continued:
“‘It’s difficult to conceive of a scenario whereby the public could be at risk.”
“It’s important to note that virus samples would degrade very rapidly outside a low temperature freezer and become non-infectious.”
“It’s most likely that the samples were destroyed by autoclaving as is routine laboratory practice and not adequately recorded.”
“Importantly, no Hendra or Lyssavirus cases have been detected among humans in Queensland over the past five years, and there have been no reports of Hantavirus infections in humans ever in Australia.”
During a press conference, Gerrard said:
“There is nothing to suggest that these have been taken from the laboratory. Secondly, […] we don’t have any evidence that Hendra virus has been weaponized in any way in any research laboratory.”
“Of course, all this kind of research is taken in secret, but we are not aware that this has been weaponized in any way.”
“The process of weaponizing a virus is very sophisticated, and is not something an amateur does.”
As we reported in November, Bill Gates predicted for another ‘pandemic’ before President-Elect Donald Trump is inaugurated on January 20 next year, warning many nations are not prepared for another virus outbreak like COVID-19.
Gates explained that for the next pandemic, “we need to make them have longer duration, more coverage.”
“And we’re going to change, instead of using a needle, to use a little patch,” Gates added.
The “major shock event” The World Economic Forum (WEF) has been predicting for 2024 is about to be rolled out. Whatever form it takes, be it a pandemic or a global war, one thing is for sure – it will be mass murder on a scale we cannot yet fathom.
Gates used the term “Pandemic 2” to describe another future COVID-like event for this year.
